There’s less then a week left to take part in the Old Montreal, Happening Gourmand event which comes to an end this Sunday, January 31st. This year marks the third time in as many years that the event takes place. Eight restaurants, all located in Old Montreal, (and all part of the Antonopoulos Group of hotels and restaurants) are offering special, prix-fixe menus with two appetizers, three main courses, and two desserts to choose from.
Here are the eight restaurants taking part: Galianos and Narcisse are offering an $18 prix-fixe menu; Le Vieux Port Steakhouse, Modavie, Mechant Boeuf, and Suite 701 are all offering a $22 prix-fixe menu, and Verses and Aix are coming to you with a $27 prix-fixe menu. (I’ve provided links to all of the prix-fixe menus available online—Galianos and Modavie only have their regular menus available.)
The Happening Gourmand event is a way to generate some much needed business during a period of year notoriously quiet in the restaurant industry. Some of the table-d’hôtes being offered are indeed enticing, and a great value for your money. I’ll be heading to Mechant Boeuf for one of their burgers before the week is out.
If you’ve been to any of the above mentioned restaurants and tried their Happening Gourmand menu items, write a comment below—what did you eat? Was it good? Was it bad? You be the critic.
