They're not back- they never went anywhere in the first place. After 20 years performing together, Hanson is still going strong.
Taylor, Zac, and Isaac Hanson, brothers from Tulsa, Okla., first gained fame after 1997's release of Middle of Everywhere. Although it wasn't their first album together, pop mega-hits MMMBop and Where's The Love helped the brothers become a household name. Since then, Hanson has kept busy, releasing 5 studio albums since the late 90s.
Their latest project, Anthem, was released on July 1, 2013 through the brothers' own 3CG label and quickly rose to #22 on the US Billboard 200. Listening to Anthem's clean, catchy, blues-infused hooks, it's clear that Hanson has used the last 2 decades to craft a more mature and polished sound.
Hitting the road to promote the new album, Hanson will play the House of Blues in Dallas on Monday, Sept. 16. With a lineup that includes Paul McDonald and People on Vacation, the night is sure to include a plethora of infectious pop-rock hits that will be enjoyed by both new and old fans alike.
Although doors for the House of Blues open at 7 p.m., the band will be hosting a charity walk in front of the venue at 3 p.m. to raise money to bring clean water to Sub-Saharan Africa. For details, visit www.takethewalk.net.
