Some sequel news surfaced over at Comic Book Movie yesterday, and apparently “Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters” could be in for one.
The film is expected to cross $200 million worldwide before it finishes its theatrical run, and only had a budget of $50 million.
All the stars seemed up for a sequel, which the film was left open to of course, during their press tour, and news is expected to hit soon of a writer being hired to pen it.
Add to that news that Steven Spielberg has confirmed that “The Adventures of Tintin” sequel has finally been written, Peter Jackson (“King Kong”) will direct it, and he will be producing it.
He said, “Don't hold me to it, but we're hoping the film will come out around Christmas-time in 2015.”
Fans of the first film, like me, should rejoice knowing that the two titans of cinema will continue their partnership for at least one more film.
