Movie fans in Scottsdale are waiting for the release of "Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters" to theaters, and now they are being given another look at the film. On Thursday, Jan. 3, The Movie Blog shared new photos released for the film. Check out the photos here.
This film stars Jeremy Renner and Gemma Arterton as Hansel and Gretel, and the pair is now far from their childhood. They are now hunters of witches. The witch in this film is played by actress Famke Janssen, and she spoke about the challenges she faced while this film was in production. The challenges were a result of the make-up she had to wear for her character. She said the following, according to Shock Til You Drop recently:
"Yes, I suppose, although what I found to be the most challenging part about it is that I didn’t have the freedom I normally felt as an actor. You have a team, literally, of people trailing your every move, because every time you open your mouth, something unglues and they need to be in there with a stick of glue to put it back together. So there’s that restriction and limitation, which I found difficult to work with."
This film was set for a 2012 release, but it was pushed back. The film will now be released at the end of January. This film is generating buzz on social media. One fan said the following on Twitter recently:
Reason to celebrate. Honestly, sarcasm aside, it does look good. #HanselandGretel
Scottsdale residents will be able to see this film at the Harkins Scottsdale Fashion Square 7 or at another local theater in the area once it is release on Jan. 25.
