The argument was over exemptions that businesses and members of Congress will receive under the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) that individuals will not receive but Pascrell kept denying that the exemptions even existed.
“Regardless of what the folks say, this is going to be successful," Pascrell said. “And they don't want it to be… I have said I won't take the subsidy.”
Rep. Matt Salmon (R-NV) who was also a guest and battled against Pascrell said, “I'm not taking it. I think we should live under the same laws every American does.”
“I don't have the federal plan,” Pascrell responded. “I have my own plan. So you don't know what you are talking about.”
Hannity at that point lost it, told Pascrell that he is lying, and said, “You're getting special perks and special breaks for yourself, absolutely. So cut the crap and stop lying to the audience!”
After all three were shouting over each other, Hannity cut through and said, “Do you know what your problem is?”
“You are an elitist. You think you are above the American people. My problem is people who lie on this program. You're lying to the American people.”
Pascrell is on the Budget and Ways and Means committees and although he has his own health insurance, it is because his net worth in 2011 was $1,862,037 to $4,309,000.
