Hannah Storm hosts the Rose Parade after her burn accident

It has only been three weeks since Hannah Storm had her burn accident but she felt she was ready to make a return to TV. The ESPN anchor hosted the Rose Parade on Tuesday after suffering burns from her gas grill accident according to Huffington Post on Jan. 1.

Storm made her first on-air appearance since her first and second degree burns from a gas grill accident that happened on Dec. 11. Storm sustained first and second degree burns on her face, hands, chest, and neck from the gas grill at her home in Connecticut. Storm was ready to return to TV, although she made it clear it was a very early return considering her injuries.

This was the fifth time Hannah has served as a TV host for the Rose Parade. During the two hour show, Hannah wore hair extensions since she lost half of her hair in the accident. Hannah said that she felt much more comfortable hosting alongside the "Good Morning America" host, Josh Elliott.

Storm is still unsure of her return date to "SportsCenter" but she has a goal of returning this Sunday. Storm wanted to see how the week went after hosting the Rose Parade since it did take a lot out of her.

Hannah Storm was injured on Dec. 11 at her Connecticut home when she tried to re-ignite a gas grill after the flame went out. Storm shut off the gas and when she turned it back on, a wall of fire came at her causing her injuries.
