Hank Williams Jr. will be kicking off the New Year from the stage at the fifth annual Music City New Year’s Eve “Bash on Broadway” taking place on Broadway in downtown Nashville, Tennessee. The festival kicks off with multiple days of live music which is free to enjoy leading up to the New Years Eve celebration featuring Hank Williams Jr. and Nashville’s own midnight “Music Note Drop.”
Hank Williams Jr. let his emotions show when he said "This year is going to be very special on New Year’s Eve" adding "December 31st will mark the 60th anniversary of daddy’s death. For years, I have not performed on New Year's Eve in honor of my father, but this year is a monumental year in the history of Hank Williams. If daddy would have lived, he would have been 90 years old this year. I hope Music City is ready to boogie woogie, because Bocephus is going bring the party to Nashville."
When the headlining act was announced Butch Spyridon, president and CEO of the Nashville Convention & Visitors Corp. said “This may be the best end-of-year “mash-up” we have ever had with the Titans, the SEC and Hank ringing in the New Year. Are you ready?” Additional artists will be added to the “Bash on Broadway” lineup at a later date so you can be ready to make your plans to welcome 2014 with Hank Williams Jr. and more.
