Kacey Musgraves may have received six CMA nominations including New Artist of the Year and Female Artist of the Year, but it appears that Hank Williams, Jr. can handily beat out the newcomer with his traditional outlaw country music.
In a “Taste of Country Showdown” update on Oct 1, Hank Williams, Jr.'s cover of Merle Haggard’s “I Think I’ll Just Stay Here and Drink” is in the lead with almost 93 percent of the votes to Musgraves 7.8 percent with “Follow Your Arrow.” Last week Hank beat out Little Big Town’s “Sober” with 81 percent of the vote.
Fans of both Hank Williams, Jr. and Kacey Musgraves still have time to vote in the “Taste of Country Showdown.” Voting ends on Friday, Oct. 4 at 8 a.m. ET. If Hank’s cover of Haggard’s “I Think I’ll Just Stay Here and Drink” beats our Kacey Musgraves “Follow Your Arrow, Williams, Jr. will take on a new challenger on Friday.
Fans of Hank and Kacey can vote on the Taste of Country website and help determine who the winner of this week’s winner of the “Taste of Country Showdown.”
