According to an Aug. 26 post from EastsideBoxing.com, studly welterweight Chris Algieri (16-0) is set to throw down at Huntington's Paramount on Sept. 14, as part of the tenth "Rockin' Fights" card under the Star Boxing banner.
"It's always special to promote at The Paramount, truly one of the premier venue for professional boxing in the country. This is the tenth Rockin' Fights event we've held there, the first nine selling out, and we're thrilled to showcase Huntington's favorite son, undefeated Chris Algieri and former world champion Joshua Clottey in separate bouts" said event promoter Joe DeGuardia.
The Paramount is located at 370 New York Avenue in Huntington, New York. Doors will open on the night of the event at 7:00 p.m. with the first bell at 7:30 p.m.
Algieri with be making the third start of his 2013 campaign, as he's slated to fight tough Nicaraguan veteran Wilfredo "EL Zurdo" Acuna in the main event.
Event organizers know full well that Sept. 14 is a big night in boxing across the globe, so they will broadcast live from Las Vegas, the Mayweather/Canelo world title clash on the big screen at The Paramount following the Rockin' Fights 10 action.

VIP seats range from $50 to $200.
Several key bouts are planned for the event undercard, including New York junior middleweight prospect Wendy Toussaint vs Cory Boyd of Babylon, New York in a scheduled four-rounder.
