Saving Carson Shelter Dogs

The sad eyes of a seven-year-old brindle Labrador retriever and pointer mix shows how the stress of being held in a kennel environment for weeks is taking its toll on this gentle and sweet dog temporarily housed at California's Carson Animal Care Center in Gardena since August 1.

"This handsome guy is very mellow and sweet. He would make an excellent companion and you can see in his eyes, he is losing hope. Please take another look at him and SHARE this beauty; the shelter is full and he needs help now."

It was an extremely warm day when volunteers videoed this dog, but you can see how mellow he appears. Please click here to view the video.
