Gorgeous jewelry can be found all over Dallas, but if you want an eye-catching statement piece with some history, you've got to check out Kimberly Moore's collection of handcrafted vintage rings and bracelets! Moore finds pieces from the 1920s to 1950s era and modernizes them into new pieces that are plated with 24 karat gold or sterling silver. The end result is a work of art that you'll want to wear every day.
Moore began her creations in 2009 after antique shopping with her parents. She noticed beautiful vintage jewelry that people don't wear anymore...like clip earrings. "I wanted to figure out a way for people to enjoy these beautiful designs today," Moore explains to Examiner. Most of her creations are made from vintage pieces found at estate sales and antique shows. We think you'll want to wear it for a night out, or even with jeans and a t-shirt. Check out our slideshow to see some of her stunning jewelry.
Have a family heirloom that's collecting dust in your jewelry box? Bring it to Moore and she can turn it into something that you'll want to wear, like a ring, expandable bracelet or cuff. She meets with clients individually to discuss options for their own pieces.
Want to get your hands on a one-of-a-kind design? Check out her website for a list of local boutiques carrying Kimberly Moore's jewelry. You can also e-mail her to discuss options for revamping your own piece.
