San Antonio’s RiverFest Arts and Crafts Show is on the River Walk. If getting out of the house or getting more exercise is part of your New Year’s resolution, this is a great way to stay on track.
There is no admission charge for this event, making it ideal for the budget conscious family and making it fun for all age groups. The 2013 RiverFest Arts and Crafts Show takes place on Sunday, Jan. 13, from 11 a.m.-11 p.m., allowing for plenty of time to explore each unique booth.
The experience begins near the Chamber of Commerce and leads shoppers along the newly renovated Riverwalk where merchants display numerous handmade crafts. Take a stroll with the family and enjoy the expertise and craftsmanship of the diverse group of merchants.
Vendors from around the country bring their individual skills to the show. No two jewelry booths or clothing vendors are alike. A variety of handmade crafts can be found including, artwork, jewelry, pottery, home décor and much more. This is the perfect place to pick up a special pair of earrings for Mom, a unique pocketknife for Dad, or fun accessories for the kids. Some vendors even create custom-made artwork or jewelry while customers wait.
When the family is ready for a break, there are plenty of restaurants and cafes to choose from for a quick snack or a leisurely meal.
