Handcrafted wooden keepsake tokens: Gestures to the unknown

This time in our history as a people trying to make their way in the world filled with uncertainty has artist C.S. Alexis pondering the idea of what can be done to put more positive energy out into the universe. Her quiet neighborhood in Henderson Nevada would appear to be sheltered from much of the chaos that prevails in other parts of the country. C.S. realizes that an almost consistant, daily temperature reading of 58 degrees does not speak for the way of this world.

People are hurting from the loss of homes, jobs and other securities we use to take for granted. This uncertainty is lending a sort of negative vibration across the minds of millions. What to do? Focus is the thing that comes to call on this artist's pallet. She told me that her focus was on offering up simple yet mindful gestures of gratitude and positve energy depicted by her artwork.

So this artist has started to focus on designing and creating for small works of art using her most favorite materials and tools to generate wooden keepsake tokens. Each token is an individual work set on re-purposed bits of wood that measure from about 1 3/4" up to 4" in size. Each one is created with the intention of stimulating positive energy in the people who are lucky enough to get to enjoy one of these tiny works of art.

From her Adrift Art Studio, C.S. has finished some 25 miniature keepsake tokens. Each one is dated and numbered and marked with the Adrift Art Studio web address. They are all different. They all have a positive message. They all have a miniature bit of artwork wood burned and painted in acrylics. All the tokens will be given away, coming soon. See how this artist plans to get the word out in a positive way.
