Hand grenades found in parking lot at Walt Disney World's Downtown Disney

Sometimes, the strangest sights can be seen at Walt Disney World while being mixed in with the most beautiful. Well, on Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013, one of the stranger sights came into view as hand grenades were found at the shopping district area of Downtown Disney.

The Orange County Sheriff's Office said that a janitor found three hand grenades at Downtown Disney but no-one was injured.

Investigatorss said that the grenades were hollowed out and posed no danger to anyone in the area at all. They happened to be found by the janitor in the parking lot of an open area at Downtown Disney around 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday evening.

Police arrived on the scene, and around 10:00 p.m., deputies did remove the hollowed out hand grenades. Even though there was no way for them to cause any damage or pose a threat to anyone, the hand grenades were still to be blown up so that they were properly disposed of.

"There was minimal disruption to guests," Disney spokeswoman Kathleen Prihoda said.

Both Disney and the Orange County Sheriff's Office said that both the shopping area and entertainment section of Downtown Disney is operating normally, and that there is no danger for their guests.

The news is the news and sometimes it has to deal with politics and sometimes it has to deal with children. It could be about a natural disaster or whether the dollar is still worth the same in all countries. Whatever is going on though, Danny will let you know about it.
