Hamptons magazine cover party for Mira Sorvino at RSVP in NYC (Photos)

On Monday night, a VIP soiree for Academy Award winner Mira Sorvino was held at RSVP in NYC. Co-stars from her new film Union Square mingled with industry insiders at Mira's Hamptons magazine cover party. RSVP is a hot Manhattan night spot and the perfect venue for this tony gathering. The new restaurant serves brunch, lunch and dinner seven days a week to the most discerning diners.

The Hamptons magazine cover party for Mira Sorvino started at 7:30 p.m. on June 25. Editor-in-Chief Samantha Yanks was present to celebrate Mira's beautiful cover debut and new film Union Square. Cast mates Tammy Blanchard and Mike Doyle were in attendance. Also present at the event was her family including handsome husband Chris Backus.

Several stars came out to party with Mira and crew. Celebrities spotted at the Hamptons magazine cover party included Amy Ryan of The Office and Andrew Rannells of Broadway's Book of Mormon and Ryan Murphy's upcoming pilot, The New Normal. During her Hamptons magazine cover party, guests nibbled on hors d'oeuvres and sipped cocktails from Bertaud Belieu. There was entertainment and a preview of the newest summer flavors from Stoli such as Stoli Stick and Stoli Hot.

Sorvino is a four-time mommy and the daughter of famed actor/director, Paul Sorvino. Her father is a native of the Bronx while Mira Sorvino is a native of neighboring New Jersey. In 2003, Mira met her husband, Chris Backus, and they were married in 2004. Backus is also an actor and appears in Union Square with his wife and a star-studded cast.

Mira won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in Woody Allen's Mighty Aphrodite in 1995. She is also known for her 1997 role as Romy White in Romy and Michele's High School Reunion with Lisa Kudrow. Sibling drama Union Square is Mira's new celebrated film. At the party, Backus was spotted toasting his wife with Stoli cocktails. The two parents stole kisses like newlyweds.

The movie also stars Patti Lupone, Tammy Blanchard and Mike Doyle. In Union Square, Mira plays Lucy and Blanchard is her sister Jenny. The sisters are complete opposites and Lucy shows up at Jenny's door after they did not speak for three years. The feature film was co-written and directed by Nancy Savoca. It premiered at the Toronto Film Festival where Mira commented, “Great characters, innovative story line.”

RSVP is located at 15 Watts Street in NYC. Chef Seth Levine has personally cooked for royalty, celebrities and socialites. It was the ideal place for Mira Sorvino's Hamptons magazine cover party on Monday night.
