'Hamlet' at the Stage Theatre, January 24-February 23

Tragedy, madness, revenge—classical. Known as one of the greatest plays of all time, William Shakespeare's ever-popular Hamlet comes to town for a month.

Director Kent Thompson leads this version of the hallmark tragedy surrounding corruption, crimes, and retribution. After 16 years producing with the Alabama Shakespeare Festival, Thompson moved to Denver. He has been the Artistic Director at the Denver Center Theatre Company since 2005. During this time, Thompson has directed several Shakespearan plays: A Midsummer Night's Dream, King Lear, Othello, Measure for Measure.

Of his Denver accomplishments, Thompson is responsible for developing the Women's Voices Fund, and the Colorado New Play Summit. Both establishments cater to promoting and supporting new plays.

Performance times for Hamlet are as follows:

  • Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays @ 6:30pm
  • Fridays/Saturdays @7:30pm (8 ONLY on Feb 7&8)
  • Saturday/Sunday matinees @ 1:30pm (6:30 ONLY on Feb 9)
