As a way to thank Veterans and those now in the military, the Hamilton County Park District has announced that they are offering discounts on park activities to all current and former members of the Armed Forces.
Armed Forces Discounts
Armed Forces activity discounts are available to all active service members, military retirees, and veterans. Family members and dependents are not eligible. A valid photo ID is required at the time of purchase. Acceptable identification may include a Uniformed Services ID card or Ohio Driver’s License/ID card with an Armed Forces designation. Armed Forces discounts currently include:
- Discounted greens fees at all Hamilton County Park District Golf Courses (valid for play Monday through Thursday, excluding holidays).
- All day rowboat rental for the cost of one hour at Miami Whitewater Forest, Winton Woods and Sharon Woods (valid Monday through Friday, excluding holidays).
- $1.00 discount for Winton Woods Tour Boat rides.
- Discounted campsite rental rates at Miami Whitewater Forest or Winton Woods Campground (valid Sunday through Thursday nights, excluding holidays – discount not available online).
- $2.00 daily fishing ticket at Lake Isabella (valid Monday through Thursday, excluding holidays).
Free Motor Vehicle Permit for Disabled Veterans, former POWs and Medal of Honor Recipients
Current Hamilton County residents, who have a 100% service-related disability as determined by the VA, or are a former prisoner of war, or a Medal of Honor recipient, may apply for free motor vehicle permits. Eligible veterans will receive two annual motor vehicle permits by mail for a two-year period. Veterans are encouraged to reapply every two years.
To apply for this program, print and complete the application form. Also include proof of Hamilton County residency (last property tax statement or recent utility bill) and service eligibility (copy of VA documentation of disability, POW, or Medal of Honor status). Mail the completed application and documentation to:
