Police report that, last Sunday, there are allegations of a person breaking into a Yipsilanti Burger King through the drive thru window sometime during the late night. The burglar, most likely upon realizing all cash was locked up securely, broke donation jars and began stealing the coins and small bills inside.
The Washtenaw County Sheriff's department has stated in a press release, "The suspect (or suspects) forced open the drive-thru window to gain entry into the business," the release stated. "Once inside they stole coins from a donation jar and then fled the area."
No suspects have been identified even after viewing the security camera footage, as the perpetrators used ski masks, gloves, and kept their bodies fully covered in clothing. This should be a lesson to all. Lock you drive thru windows at night.
