As Chicago prepares for the culinary delight of Chicago Gourmet, the Friday night before Millennium Pack is transformed into a gastronomic adventure is Hamburger Hop. This hamburger competition puts local chefs hamburger skills to the test. One ultimate best burger will be crowned at the end of the evening.
At the Hamburger Hop, guests will taste and vote on all the burgers in the competition. The hamburgers will be made with premium cuts from Allen Brothers Steaks and will be served on buns by Turano Baking Company. Lagunitas Brewing Company will be supplying some satisfying beers to wash down the delicious burgers. The full line-up of participating chefs will be announced soon.
Tickets for the 2014 Hamburger Hop are $115 a person. The event will be held on Friday, September 26 from 6 pm till 9 pm. at the Harris Theatre Rooftop Terrace. Tickets are available now.
The Hamburger Hop is the start to the culinary event of the fall, Chicago Gourmet. This weekend long event presents some of the best bites and beverages that the city has to offer. Chicago Gourmet is held September 27 and 28 in Chicago's Millennium Park. Tickets are $170 per person for Saturday and Sunday or a weekend ticket is $275. In addition to general admission, the Grand Cru, featuring James Beard Award winning chefs, ticket is $199. A general admission ticket must be purchased in addition to the Grand Cru ticket.
