Halocene is a pop rock group from Phoenix, Arizona. The band is 100% independent and completely DIY. The group has opened for artists such as Jimmy Eat World, Fall Out Boy and Blink 182. Now the band is about to set out on tour and have an Indiegogo campaign to raise money to help them along the way. The band will be co-headlining the Epic Proportions Tour.
The band has set a goal of 1,000 dollars to be raised by February 28th, 2013, which they have successfully accomplished. There is still 4 days left on their campaign and they draw near the 4,000-dollar mark. What does this mean for the band? This would mean that they will be able to eat while on tour, print more merch for shows, as well helping to keep them entertained during the long bus drives from city to city. Halocene has set up some great rewards for fans that donate. For only 5 dollars you will receive a 5 track covers EP featuring, Usher, Yellowcard, and Britney Spears. For 10 bucks you get the deluxe edition of their covers that features over 12 tracks. And the rewards just get better from there.
Halocene has been working incredibly hard over the last 4 years for their dream. This tour will be the band’s first national tour. The tour will feature Gabe Kubanda, Lost In Atlantis and Halocene, the first set of dates can be found here. If you would like to donate to the campaign you can go here, pick what donation level you would like and click next. Even if you are not able to donate to the campaign currently, check out the band, like them on Facebook.
