‘Halo: Xbox One’ release date coming at E3 2014, confirms Microsoft

Microsoft’s Phil Spencer has disclosed that big things are coming for the Xbox One and that E3 2014 is going to be a great show for Microsoft. According to a report by NowGamer from Jan. 20, Spencer took to Twitter to answer questions from fans about futrure Xbox One exclusives, new titles for 2014, and when Halo: Xbox One and other major Xbox One games will release.

While answering questions on Twitter, Spencer revealed that Microsoft will announced new Xbox One exclusives in 2014. He continued to add that he and Microsoft want to have a “great E3” this year.

Given the wording, it is unclear if the new exclusives will be announced at E3 or be scattered over the course of 2014. Find Spencer’s full comment below:

We will have announces [sic] in 2014, already working on the plan. I want to have a great E3 this year.

Aside from having new exclusives to announce and reveal for Xbox One, Microsoft currently has a robust lineup of known Xbox One exclusives that lack release dates.

When asked a question regarding the release dates for Halo: Xbox One, Remedy’s Quantum Break, and Insomniac’s Sunset Overdrive, Spencer shared that many of these titles will have release dates announced at E3 2014. Find Spencer’s full comment on the release date announcements below:

Most of those will be clear to fans by the end of our E3 briefing.

Microsoft previously confirmed that Halo: Xbox One will be released in 2014.
