The product description for the Halo’s debut on Xbox One has been released. You can read it below:
“Halo for Xbox One takes the now-legendary saga to new heights and is one of the most anticipated games for the new console. In possession of a mysterious data chip, Petty Officer John-117, aka Master Chief, confronts a new battery of challenges and tests in a Herculean effort to stay alive in a galaxy where sentient life is mercilessly hunted. Pre-order the next chapter in the wildly popular Halo series designed exclusively for Xbox One.”
The description above was quickly removed by Microsoft. But screen grabbed by gaming website, All Games Beta. Was this release a mistake or a clever marketing by Microsoft? Halo: Reach was outed in a similar way before its teaser trailer debut at E3 in 2009. The Description itself is rather generic and could describe any previous Halo game. So fans will have to wait and see what comes next.
So, what does this all mean? There are no right answers. How long will we have to wait for more info? The Penny Arcade Expo starts today and 343 Industries is in attendance so there is a chance they might show something. If they don’t show anything new, they will have to doge fan questions who want to know more about Halo Xbox One, during their Q&A after the Halo 4 Panel presentation. The only panel 343 is attending at PAX is the halo 4 panel.
The release of the product description is a good sign; more information may be on the way sooner than later.
