Some interesting new sets, along the vein of the earlier ODST Drop Pods sets, are becoming available for pre-order on many online sites, and as the release dates draw closer, will soon be appearing on store shelves as well. At the top of many collectors' lists are the upcoming Cyclops armor variants which Mega Bloks has been previewing at toy shows recently.
The two first suits to become available are the Standard suit and Desert suit, which are slated for March (Mega Bloks usually appear early in stores in the San Francisco area, so these may well be showing up even earlier) but the focus of this report is the two subsequent sets, slated for May 2013. The two follow on suits are the Arctic Cyclops and Strike Cyclops.
The Arctic Cyclops, as befits the name, bears a white scheme, and includes a winter camo marine with battle rifle. The mech itself has a flamethrower built onto the right arm. The Strike Cyclops is in the popular covert ops color scheme from the older ODST sub-line, and includes a special ops marine with sniper rifle. This mech comes with a pair of gatlin style chain guns mounted on its shoulders, leaving the arms free to bear a pair of fists.
