The Halo Bulletin was released yesterday Wednesday, Jan. 16th 2013 and 343 Industries were in the middle of a press event Tuesday and Wednesday to talk about the continuation of Spartan Ops season 1 as well as recapping on items that were discussed in last weeks bulletin.
Tomorrow morning you will begin to see articles pop up showing interviews and sneak peeks for the next four episodes as the embargo ends tomorrow. Until then BS Angel wanted to show us some statistics on Spartan Ops as of now:
Stats summary of the first half of Spartan Ops Season 1
- 8,125,908 games were played in Spartan Ops Matchmaking in the first two months.
- 4,696,752 hours were spent playing Spartan Ops Matchmaking in the first two months.
- 901,258,308 kills were earned in Spartan Ops Matchmaking in the first two months.
- 262,150,257 assists were earned in Spartan Ops Matchmaking in the first two months.
- 167,101,619 deaths were recorded in Spartan Ops Matchmaking in the first two months.
- “Shootout In Valhalla” was the most played Mission in the first half of Spartan Ops Season 1.
How do you stack up against the following averages?
- 49.77 was the average number of kills earned per game in Spartan Ops Matchmaking in the first two months.
- 6.77 was the average number of assists earned per game in Spartan Ops Matchmaking in the first two months.
- 7.15 was the average number of deaths recorded per game in Spartan Ops Matchmaking in the first two months.
I'm not sure if these statistics were padded due to the Infinity Challenge or not, but it's worth noting that the challenge included people playing a lot of Spartan Ops.
The second half of the bulletin talked about the upcoming matchmaking update which is highlighted by a new playlist called “Community Forge Test”, which is a playlist that features player made Forge maps with various four versus four game types. The idea it to test these maps and provide feedback on the Halo Waypoint forums. Bravo will be providing a complete list of maps you will see in the playlist over the weekend on the matchmaking forums.
