The “Halo 5” name has been mentioned by an official publication. According to a report from At7addak on Oct. 25, the next video game in the first-person shooter was featured in an article from The Official Xbox Magazine.
The newest “Halo” title was first announced with a debut trailer during Microsoft’s media briefing from the Electronic Entertainment Expo event earlier this year. The companies involved with the project, 343 Industries and Microsoft Studios, did not provide an official name for the video game. However, a recent leak from a listing on the Microsoft Store revealed that the new Xbox One title will serve as the “next chapter” in the series.
Although The Official Xbox Magazine did not reveal any new information about the potential sequel, the publication did hint that the video game would most likely be called “Halo 5.”
The Xbox One software product is currently being developed by the aforementioned 343 Industries, the same development team that worked on “Halo 4” as the first of three titles from the new “Reclaimer” trilogy. At E3 2013, a spokesperson from the studio confirmed that the next game in the series, which could be called “Halo 5,” will be run at 60 frames per second while being rendered at full 1080p resolution. The potential sequel is also expected to use the Xbox Live cloud services. You can check out some screens from the title in the slideshow near the top of this article.
