The VGX awards are this Saturday, while Halo fans have learned to take any news with a grain of salt, there is some potential for Halo Xbox One to finally be revealed during the three hour show. Microsoft has recently put Halo Xbox One up for preorder on the Microsoft store site; it was posted in the last couple days. Is this timing a mere coincidence? That may be, but it just might coincide with a Halo Xbox One reveal on Saturday during the VGX.
A preorder page for Halo Xbox One had leaked onto the site a few months back, but was quickly taken down. That page gave a much longer and detailed product description than the current one which reads “The award-winning Halo franchise continues on Xbox One, beginning in 2014.” This current preorder page remains up and running, for now which gives fans hope of a VGX reveal.
Gamers have been teased by VGX host Geoff Keighley on Twitter. He tweeted “lots of good stuff for Xbox fans.” While he may just be referring to Respawn’s Titanfall, which will reveal new stuff, Microsoft has stated that they will have other unannounced surprises at VGX.
But do not get your hopes up. 343 Industries’ Community Manager Jessica Shae has tweeted that we “got a decent wait for that.” In response to a fan asking for Halo Xbox One info. Unfortunately, that was tweeted on November 27th, so, it depends on your definition of a “decent wait” but it probably will not be during the VGX. VGX can be caught this Saturday, December 7th at 6pm EST on various internet streams.
In its revamped format, the Video Game Awards, now called VGX, and according to the organizers, will be much more than an awards show like past VGA’s.
