War games daily’s (01/14– 01/15):
Threading the needle: Kill 11 players with a headshot in a single match - 2,350 XP
This one's really not so difficult. SWAT is the best way to get it. If not that do objective based games like dominion or capture the flag.
One, two, three, four...: Earn 9 multikill medals - 1,500 XP
This one's not so bad either, especially since they're not all in one match lol. SWAT is good, and so are big team infinity slayer (with the heavy vehicles) and dominion.
The best way to get multikills is to go for heavy vehicles and heavy weapons. Sniper rifles are nice for this too.

War games weekly’s (01/14 – 01/21):
The Pistolero: Get 15 kills with a Secondary Weapon in a single match - 6,100 XP
This one's tough. The best ways to get this are SWAT, infinity slayer, and objective games particularly capture the flag.
The boltshot is the best way to do this, but it's tough to get good at it. Other than that you could always try switching out your primary with a plasma pistol and have a magnum as your secondary. Try shooting a charged plasma pistol shot and then changing to shoot with a magnum, noob combo style.
Raise the Flag: Win 45 matchmaking Capture the Flag matches - 4,750 XP
Wow, really? Aside from hardly being worth the time, the only way to get this challenge is if you already have the intention of playing capture the flag all day every single day. This is an obnoxious number of wins to get for a week, especially in such a time consuming playlist. In fact, this is dramatically more than half as many wins as the monthly challenge.
If you want to get this somehow, you'll need a team, and a good one at that. Or you'll need a lot of time too.
Either way, just get the heavy weapons as often as possible, and don't let them score. Throw grenades at their flag if they're camping and try coming in from different angles every time. Do anything you can to throw them off balance.

War games monthly (January)
To the Victor Go the Spoils: Win 70 matchmaking War Games matches - 15,000 XP
This monthly challenge is exactly the same as last months challenges, except now it's cut down to 70 wins.
The quickest way to get this challenge would probably be to do a lot of SWAT. These matches usually end the quickest out of any playlist. Regicide seems to end fast too. Slayer is also extremely nice, including big team as well.
I would avoid playlists like King of the Hill or capture the flag, as these types of matches seem to last the longest. Free for all playlists are really bad too, as they tend to take an abnormally long time as well.
It seems as though they want to use these monthly challenges just to try to get people to keep playing war games. Or maybe they're just trying to give people some goal to strive for. Either way this is one of those challenges where you should just let it happen when it happens.
