Are you tired of 'Halo 4' yet? Probably not. Some fans however have expressed concerns about Spartan Ops due to the smaller maps, therefore giving less freedom to the player when doing the missions. Some of the missions are short and use the same maps as previous missions. Today, IGN made a post that talks about these concerns have being addressed. You can look forward the first of five upcoming additional Spartan Ops missions very soon. Episode 6 rolls out on Jan. 21, 2013.
It was stated in the aforementioned post via IGN that Spartan Ops has "finally reached it's potential". The article goes on to explain that maps are now more open and also confirms that 343 Industries has kept user feedback in mind when working on these new missions. The missions will play out much better, as the focus on the way the gameplay and story come together seems to be that much stronger. This could lead one to believe that perhaps Spartan Ops 1-5 was just rushed out to be packaged with the game upon release.
Regardless, the people that were previously working on the campaign aspect of the game have now gathered to help make this next set of missions come to life better than before. In the following video, also via IGN, Mitch Dyer (IGN Associate Editor) talks to David Ellis (343 Industries Designer) about all of this. Spartan Ops 6-10 will be answering questions that need answering and naturally presenting fans with even more questions. Promised bigger areas will also make fans of the "Halo" series happy and eager for some of the vehicle combat that the franchise has to offer.
'Halo 4' Spartan Ops, similar to 'Call of Duty: Black Ops 2' Spec Ops missions are turning into something that much more than just what feels like additional content; recycled maps with story tossed in. Hopefully they keep the XP gained from these missions at a point where these are worth doing in place of multiplayer for when you tire of getting stomped online.
