The penultimate episode of the first season of "Halo 4" Spartan Ops arrives next week. 343 Industries prepped Xbox 360 owners Wednesday for Episode 9's deployment by releasing a new trailer that sends Commander Palmer after Dr. Halsey. And, it's not a rescue mission.

Synopsis: ONI has ordered Doctor Halsey assassinated, and Sarah Palmer is slated to pull the trigger. Lasky, in an effort to save Halsey’s life, sends Fireteam Majestic to stop Palmer. What Majestic discovers is the key to the future of the Halo Universe.
The episodes that have been released since the mid-season hiatus have done more to weave in other parts of the "Halo" universe now that the characters of the UNSC Infinity and Covenant factions have been established. Last week saw the introduction of a key character from the "Halo: Glasslands" and "Halo: Thursday War" novels and now Admiral Serin Osman's decision about Halsey's fate carries more than just a little personal vendetta behind it.
