'Halo 4' Castle map pack will be playable at PAX East

The Penny Arcade Expo (PAX) East in Boston is quickly approaching (Mar. 22 through Mar. 24) and the folks at Penny Arcade released the list of panels yesterday Mar. 6 that will be held during the event. Among the panels is one will be on Friday talking about "Halo 4" featuring Frank O'Connor, Kevin Franklin, Dan Ayoub, and David Ellis from 343 Industries as well as Tom Potter from Certain Affinity. The panel is designed to talk about 'Halo 4' and everything there is about multiplayer. Along with the panel, 343i will also be at the Microsoft booth at PAX East showing off their next map packed named Castle according to the panel description.

Halo 4 delivered a unique set of multiplayer experiences, immersing players in an episodic campaign with Spartan Ops, while delivering more breadth and depth in the expanded War Games sandbox. You’ve played the Majestic Map Pack and may even have had a chance to play Castle Map Pack on the floor here at PAX. Come prepared to hear 343 Industries’ Frank O’Connor, Kevin Franklin, Dan Ayoub and David Ellis, as well as Certain Affinity’s Tom Potter discuss where we’ve been, where we are, and what is on the horizon for Halo 4 Multiplayer.

Castle map pack will feature three new maps Daybreak, Outcast, and Perdition. Daybreak is "set in a military facility against the backdrop of an idyllic mountain range" while Outcast "plunges you into the warrens, canyons and arches of an alien edifice" and Perdition "takes players into the heart of an urban sprawl, with tactical speed and situational awareness its key features" according to the Halo Bulletin posted in October. The map pack is set to release on April 1, 2013 so anyone attending will get an early look at the DLC before it hits digital stores.
