Halo 4 has introduced campaign weekly challenges as a separate category. Let’s take a look at these challenges, I’ll provide some advice and tips on how to achieve these challenges.
Campaign weekly challenges 01/07 - 01/14
This is Gonna Hurt: Complete any Campaign Mission on Heroic or higher difficulty with the Famine, Tilt, and Thunderstorm Skulls - 2,500 XP
The Famine skull reduces ammo pickups by half, the tilt skull doubles enemies resistances and weaknesses, and the Thunderstorm Skull makes all enemies the highest class.
I think this mission is meant to be mixed with the Requiem challenge below.
Requiem Rumble: Complete Requiem on Legendary difficulty with the Mythic, Tilt, Tough Luck, and Thunderstorm skulls - 6,117 XP
This is an insane combo for such little experience.
The Mythic skull doubles the enemies health, the tilt skull doubles their weaknesses and resistances, the Tough Luck skull makes them dramatically better at dodging, and the thunderstorm skull makes all enemies the strongest class.
This one's going to take some patience and time. If you have trouble on an area, just try, try, and try again.
One rule of thumb for campaign on legendary is to always pick off the grunts, or crawlers first. The easiest to kill enemies should be the first to die, so get them first.
Wait until there's only the strong ones left before you try to pick them off, unless you get a good chance to get one of them before hand.
Use ammo conservatively. Believe it or not, they put just enough ammo to complete these kinds of challenges, as long as you're careful with your weapons.
One last trick is to pick up weapons randomly in order to keep them from disappearing, pick them up and pick up your old weapon and do that to a lot of different weapons in order to get them all to stay on the map. You're going to need a lot of ammo to get this challenge complete.
