Halloween Party at the Louisville ZOO.

The biggest Halloween Party of the year! The Louisville Zoo has pulled out all the stops on this one. Across the front entrance looms a humungous ghost; which sets the theme for a humongous show.

The atmosphere alone was worth the trip. There were spooky pumpkin lit paths; flaming tiki torches and some really cool music. Everyone is dressed in costume.  It’s hip, It’s happening, It’s the place to be this year!

They have a special cast of characters: Shrek, The Wizard of Oz, Superman, Batman & Bat-girl, The Mad Hatter, Buzz, Woody and Captain Jack Sparrow..Just to name a few. The décor was special as well. Lord Farquad’s castle and The Wizard of OZ displays were towering high.

Candy stops are at every corner. In fact they had so much candy that it was actually hanging from the trees. I could have sworn that I heard the music from Willy Wonka and the chocolate factory.

You can also see an awesome pumpkin carving exhibit put on by Black Cat Crossing. When I say awesome; I mean they have pumpkins carved like Elvis, John Wayne, Capt Jack, Scooby Do and dozens more too.

They have some added attractions available for an additional cost. You have the opportunity to tour a Sleepy Hollow path and see the Headless Horseman. You can also tour the Dinosaur exhibit for a limited time, as well.

Again, this is a Halloween party, and is only available thru Halloween. Contact the Louisville Zoo for rates, times and other details.
