Halloween options for Calgary families

With Halloween coming up, the choices for Calgary families are not limited to just door-to-door Trick or Treating. Make this year the time where your family tries something new. The City of Calgary has many different options for the days leading up Halloween and that evening.

  • Ghouls Night Out- runs October 24-27 at Heritage Park from 6-9pm each evening. Heritage Park is transformed to a Ghost Town that showcases Broom Flying lessons, story telling, a Halloween dance, twisted tea party and much more! Tickets are $6 for children ages 3-12 and $10 for ages 13+. Be sure to dress warm as these special events are held outdoors.
  • ZOOMALLOWEEN at Market Mall- October 31 from 10am-7pm. With special surprises including a Balloon artist, magician, juggler and face painter, your little ones will have a Spook-tacular time at the mall for Halloween.
  • Screamfest Haunted House and Freak Show at Canada Olympic Park. Every Friday and Saturday evening from 7pm-midnight in October, your family can enjoy many specialized spooky features including a haunted house, carnival games, zombies and much more! Tickets range from $20-$40 each, visit the website for more information.

There is so much to do in and around Calgary for children of all ages, that regular door-to-door Trick or Treating might not be the best option for your family this year. Try mixing it up and taking your children out to explore different Halloween options this year for many more family memories!
