If you weren't already aware, 69.2% of adults over the age of 20 are considered OVERWEIGHT.
Don't let the holidays (i.e., HALLOWEEN) give you an excuse to overindulge. There are simple tactics to stay healthy and still have fun (which is what it is all about, right)!
First, when giving out candy this year, consider purchasing a few listed below, which I have found to be not-so-terrible when it comes to nutritional content.
- 100 Grand: 190 Calories; 8 g Fat; 22 g Sugars
- Nestle Crunch: 220 Calories; 12 g Fat; 24 Sugars (MUCH healthier than, say, 3 Musketeers)
- Kit Kat: 210 Calories; 11 g Fat; 22 Sugars http://www.womenshealthmag.com
Aside from the candy, remember that holidays are also about the ACTIVITIES. Carve pumpkins, make your own costumes...even allow the pets in on the fun! (see photo)
