If your celebrating Halloween and your in Las Vegas you are in for a treat. Las Vegas is party central for 21 and older folks to get their costume and party on. If you plan on attending any of the Vegas parties be sure to designate a driver, or better yet take a cab. Taxis are not the usual recommended transportation, but for this night it is worth the wait and money. If you are dead set to not use a cab, get a room. If your budget does not allow for the expensive properties where a lot of these parties are being held, check out the smaller ones close by. A nice walk from the club will do good for the hangover anyway.

If you want an extreme experience try the Fetish and Fantasy Ball. It is being held in a new and larger location. This year promises to be better on the budget and more exciting since it has moved to a larger venue. The South Point Hotel and Casino says that it is twice as big as the old location. If you want to attend several parties in one location the Palms is the place for you. The Palms has several events taking place on the Night of the Killer Costume. It is definitely the place if you have a costume that is sure to win a contest. They have the largest costume contest prizes awarded in town for Halloween. The events take place on October 29 from 10:00 PM to 4:00 AM. the biggest cash prizes will be awarded at the Ghost Bar and Rain, each providing $10,000 for first prize, and Ghostbar and Playboy Club offers $5,000 for first place. On October 31, the Hard rock will host a Halloween party, Masquerade Motel, featuring the Swedish Mafia House DJs. This is a great choice if you want to stay off the Strip. It is also one of the few being held on Halloween night. Party begins at 10:00 PM. For more information visit

MGM is partying the entire week before Halloween at Studio 54. The Nightmare on 54th Street begins at 10:00 PM. Be sure to check what festivities will be taking place each night. Some nights are theme nights, so you'll want to be in the correct attire. The finale takes place on October 31 with their Beaux Ball and a costume contest. For more information visit

If you would like to attend a more causual party, outside in Harrahs Carnival Courtyard is hosting a party on October 31. You can join the fun at 12 noon. Whatever you decide to do you will likely be attending one of the best parties in the country on Halloween. Vegas does a few things right and Halloween is one of them. Check the websites before you head out. Things to note are cover charges, bottle minimums, dress codes and party agendas. You don't want to just miss the costume contest, or find out that the cover charge is more than the cost of you hotel room. Plan your night out and you won't be dissapointed.
