It is that time of the year where goblins, ghosts and skeletons are hanging around your home. Whether in decorations around your home and your children dressed in costumes, with the cooler autumn weather, we know Halloween is near.
Along with Christmas, most children count Halloween as one of their favorite times of the year. After all, they can pig out on candy, what could be better than that? And face it, parents feel less guilty about letting their children eat candy during the Halloween season.
The recipe is easy and the kids will have great fun preparing these cookies.
Scary Halloween Cookies
Ingredients
- 1 or 2 tubes of sugar cookie dough
- Small tubes of frosting in orange, white, black and brown
- Sugar sprinkles in orange
- Candy corn, black licorice pieces, etc.
Directions
Follow directions on cookie dough package, slice cookie dough into thin slices. Cover your counter or table with newspaper or paper towels. Set out frostings and sugars. Depending on the age of your children, you may need to help or at least supervise your children decorating their cookies. The cookies can become witches, monsters, ghosts, jack o’ lanterns among other many ideas for Halloween. Note: Bake the cookies per package directions, let cool until room temperature before decorating.
