The frenzied race to fill buckets with candy is about to begin. Over the next few days Halloween and Fall events take center stage in dozens of communities across East Tennessee.
Boo! At the Knoxville Zoo reigns supreme as the premiere Halloween Event in Knoxville. It starts up on October 25th and runs through the 30th. Tickets are $6 with an extra fee for parking. Boo! At the Zoo runs from 5:30 to 8:00 each night. This year, the Knoxville Police Department will be joining the festivities at the Zoo instead of hosting its own Halloween event.
In Clinton there are several events to keep your ghosts and goblins happy and certainly help them fill up their bags or buckets with all kinds of treats.
South Clinton Baptist Church on Clinch Avenue hosts its Trunk or Treat on Saturday from 5-7. This event has been going for several years now and continues to grow each year. First Baptist Church on Main Street hosts its Trunk or Treat on Sunday from 5-7 in the parking area behind the church. St. Mark United Methodist will have a Trunk or Treat on Halloween night.
For something more frightful you might want to check out “The Haunting at Elizabeth Claire’s” in Downtown Clinton. This Halloween attraction has been around now for several years. While you can see it along Main Street, the entrance to this Haunted House is located at the back of the building.
One of the biggest free Halloween events happens on Tuesday, October 30th at 1st United Methodist Church in Maryville. The annual Family Fall Celebration features half a dozen inflatables, a climbing wall, a spider web climb, games, music, a pumpkin patch, train and crafts for kids. The church is located on Montvale Station Road across from Maryville Junior High School.
