Like dogs? Like the Katy Trail? Like autumn in Texas (sometimes)? Well, this event is for you! The 2011 West Village Dog Trot and Treat is a Sunday fun day event benefitting the Katy Trail, with cool events and food, there are great things waiting for you and your furry friends.
Not only is this a chance for you and your furry companions to meet up with some friends and maybe make some new ones also, it’s a chance to get outside and enjoy the great Texas Autumn after a smoldering miserable Summer. Everyone along with their pup will trot around West Village filling up treat bags at the different boutiques along the way. When the bags are full there will be live music, food and spirits from Cork Wines for everyone to enjoy, as well as many local vendors offering anything from pet portraits to all-natural baked food for dogs. Don’t forget your Halloween costume…not for you, your dog, so you can enter them in the costume contest! The winner goes home with a doggie bag filled with fun and delicious goodies as well as bragging rights for the year.
The Dog Trot will take place on Sunday, October 30th from 1 to 5pm in West Village, the early entry fee is $15 per pooch ($20 at the door) and their people are free. All of the proceeds go to benefit the Katy Trail.
