Dog flu prevention tips
For pups that like to dress up for Halloween, half the fun is getting fussed over by all the people who think they are so cute. Baltimore area pups that really want to strut their stuff are lucky enough to be able to show offtheir Halloween costumes at a few dog friendly events.
Barcstoberfest is a massive annual event to raise funds for BARCS. Dogs and their owners are welcome. Along with all the vendors and silent auctions and pet demos, there is a pet costume contest. This year's event is on Saturday, October 17th.
Dog owners looking for costume inspiration may want to keep an eye on Baltimore Dog Magazine, which runs an annual Fall dog photo contest. While the deadline for this year's Howl-O-Ween contest has passed, it should be fun to look at the contestants' entries.
DogFest is another fundraising event that includes Halloween related activities. Funds will benefit the Baltimore Humane Society. Dogs can pick their own pumpkins and there is a costume contest. There are also many activities that aren't Halloween related, such as the Paws on Parade Walk and Dog Bowling. This year's Fest is on Saturday, October 10th.
