Halloween corn mazes in Madison area

Get lost.

No really. Get lost on purpose - for fun - at one of the numerous corn mazes that are currently in season here in south central Wisconsin. Mastering a corn maze requires logic, physical stamina and tenacity, and is an enjoyable adventure for the entire family.

Here are some of the area's best corn mazes:

New this year - and located in urban Madison - is a corn maze which benefits the Keep Wisconsin Warm/Cool Fund. Located in Old Sauk Office Park, the maze in the shape of the KWWF logo is open during October weekends. Hours and pricing.

Treinan Farm - Lodi, WI, has the largest single corn maze in the Midwest. The 2010 corn-creation is a 15-acre Gecko Tessellation Maze! Treinan Farm also has a pumpkin patch and hayrides. Hours and pricing.

Schuster's Playtime Farm in Deerfield, WI, features two corn mazes this year, totalling 18.5 acres of madcap fun and adventure. Part of the proceeds from their maze admissions will be donated to two charities: the US Transplant Games and the Boy Scouts of America.  In addition to the corn mazes, here are other activities that Schuster's offers: bonfires, the Haunted Forest, Flashlight fun in the corn mazes, a bakery and farm animals to pet.  Hours and pricing.

Mayr Family Farm in DeForest, has a 7-acre corn maze with a design that changes each year. Mayr's also offers wagon rides, a haunted maze, a pumpkin patch.   Hours and pricing.

Hinchley's Dairy Farm of Cambridge offers short family oriented mazes with prizes. Each corn maze admission entitles the entrant to a free hayride and a free pumpkin, too! Tours of the dairy farm can also be arranged.  Check out Hinchley's Haunts here.
