A very easy to-doer for any mom or dad out there. Halloween Cookie Brownies are perfect for parties, trick or treating nightly events, or for any other occasion, even if it is for just around the house. The things you will need for this family fun activity are as follows:
Betty Crocker Supreme Bars: Cookie Brownie Mix
For brownie mix:
2 tablespoons of water
1/2 stick or 1/4 cup of butter or margarine, melted
For cookie mix:
1 tablespoon of water
1/2 stick or 1/4 cup of butter or margarine, softened
Just follow the directions on the box of the Betty Crocker mix:
1. Heat the oven to 325 degrees. Grease the bottom of the pans, glass or metal, that are wished to be used.
2. Stir Brownie mix. 2 tablespoons water, melted butter and egg in a medium bowl until well blended. Spread into the pans. Only put the mix a 1/4 inch thick in them so that you maximize the amount of cookie brownie you have.
3. Stir Cookie mix. 1 tablespoon water and softened butter in a medium bowl until soft dough forms. Drop cookie dough by rounded 1/2 teaspoonfuls evenly into brownie batter. Try to make the dough spread as evenly through all your pans as possible.
4. Bake until toothpick when inserted from two inches inside of pan comes out almost clean. Cool.
The only part of this recipe that is different is the baking and of course the cutting. Take your favorite Halloween cookie cutters and cut out the various amount of cookie brownies that you can from the pans. This idea can be doubled or tripled depending on how many boxes you get, time will just need to be compensated for every pan in the oven. The leftover cookie brown can be used with other things, like ice cream as a topper or heated and have melting ice cream on top, blended into a shake, smoothie, or just eaten plain. Your cut Halloween Cookie Brownies need to be stored tightly covered so that them remain moist. Serve directly after cutting or store for that wild and spooky party you are throwing for you family's Halloween night! Good luck and great baking.
