A Jacksonville bar is holding a fundraising event Wednesday to raise money for the Foundation Fighting Blindness in support of Blindness Awareness Month.
Dahlia's Pour House, located in Riverside, is hosting its 2nd Annual Halloween Charity Ba$h from 6:30-10 p.m Wed., Oct. 30. The event includes an unofficial 5k race, coaster flip contest, and costume contest, with prizes offered for each event.
Event patrons will be able to enjoy some of Bold City Brewery's limited supply of seasonal beers, such as the popular Pumpkin Ale and bourbon-barrel-aged Duke's Cold Nose Brown Ale. These beers will only be available to people participating in the charity event.
Dahlia's Pour House owner, Andrea Dahlia, chose to support the Foundation Fighting Blindness with the Halloween bash because a good friend of hers is blind.
Tickets are a $15 minimum donation in advance or $20 at the door and include food, a free beer (ages 21+) and entry into the contests. Tickets can be purchased at Dahlia's Pour House, located at 2695 Post Street in Jacksonville, or online.
