If you love Halloween and can't wait to get the party started, you can kick it off at the Magic Kingdom as early as September 1. That's the first date of Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party for 2014, with dates on select nights running through Halloween night.
With the first date not much more than a month away, you can enjoy the party even if you decide to head out to Disney World during the quiet period in the early part of September. You get to enjoy the full festivities, no matter what date you pick. That includes the parade, fireworks, characters in special costumes, and of course lots of trick or treat trails that will leave you with a huge haul of goodies. Kids and adults love to deck themselves out in costumes, and you're welcome to trick or treat regardless of your age.
If you'd like a taste of the entertainment, click the video accompanying this article to see last year's Boo to You Parade. It's always lots of fun, especially at the very beginning when the Headless Horseman kicks things off with a gallop down the street.
Of course, many of the rides are open for Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party, too, so you head over to the Haunted Mansion, catch a night ride on Big Thunder Mountain, or enjoy your other favorites. Be sure to check your show schedule because you won't want to miss the special entertainment that's exclusive to the party. Aim for the later parade, if possible, as it's always less crowded since younger kids tend to crash early.
Ticket prices vary, depending on the day you choose, and some days sell out, so it's always wise to buy your tickets year. They're on sale now; visit the official website for more details.
Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party is the one time of year that teens and adults can deck themselves out as their favorite Disney characters, so be sure to take full advantage of the opportunity. Don your costume, grab a trick-or-treat bag, and get in one the fun.
