During October staff, guests and residents of Naperville were invited to add candy, canned goods and other non-perishable “treats” to a giant trick-or-treat bag in the hotel lobby. The contents of the bag will be donated to the Northern Illinois Food Bank.
To thank the community for its generosity, the Marriott will open its lobby to the public for the event. The spooky scene will be the perfect place for kids to wear their costumes as they visit the Marriott for a final day of donations to the massive bag. Those adults and children who bring a donation will receive complimentary “treats,” specially made by the hotel’s Artisan Table restaurant lead by executive chef Sean Curry.
The hotel opened earlier this year and this is the first Halloween season for the Chicago Marriott Naperville. “The Northern Illinois Food Bank is a wonderful organization that fights hunger in our community. They make sure that every food and monetary donation made at the ‘Donate Something Good to Eat’ gets to the people who need it most,” said Wes Graf, director of sales and marketing for the Chicago Marriott Naperville.
To make a donation, visit the Marriott Naperville at 1801 Naper Blvd in Naperville. For questions about donations or the Oct. 28 event, please call 630-505-4900
