A family of four carved pumpkins -- one for each member of their family -- and put them on display on their front porch. One evening the family noticed that one of the four pumpkins had been stolen. So, mom Becky Reina made a sign for her front stairs that had a message for the pumpkin thief.
The sign read, "To the person who stole my son's pumpkin, Thank you for the life lesson. This will help teach him that sometimes people are mean for no reason and you have to just brush it off. Because my son is 2-yrs-old and can't read this sign I will add: You are an a**hole."
A picture of the sign and the family's three pumpkins has gotten plenty of attention on Reddit -- in fact, it has gone viral. At first, 2-year-old Tommy was okay with his missing pumpkin -- because he got to help him mom with the nifty cardboard sign. When Tommy's mom told him that people were sad about his pumpkin, he began to cry. His mom bought him a new pumpkin but they've decided to keep it inside just in case there's a repeat offender in the neighborhood.
Reina added that a stranger saw the family on the news and brought over another pumpkin -- just to show that people "can be nice for no reason too." Check out her interview with Huff Post live in the video above.
