Hallmark Channel announced that "The Good Witch" will be returning, not only with a new movie, but a new series, in a March, 2014 media release. "The Good Witch" is a popular series of movies starring Catherine Bell ("Army Wives") as Cassie Nightengale, a raven haired enchantress who wins people over with charm, grace and a little magic.
"The Good Witch" franchise is Hallmarks most successful movie franchise of all time. The seventh film in the franchise, "The Good Witch's Wonder," will premiere on Hallmark Channel on Oct. 25, 2014 (9 p.m. ET/PT, 8C).
In the seventh installment of Hallmark Channel’s highest-rated Original Movie Series, Catherine Bell
returns to star as Cassie Nightingale, the benevolent, kind-hearted witch living in the small
community of Middleton with her husband Jake and three children. While helping to plan the wedding
of her stepson Brandon and raising funds for Middleton’s new botanical gardens project, Cassie takes
in a mysterious woman named Audrey who has drifted into town. Coinciding with Audrey’s arrival,
Middleton is soon faced with a number of challenges that Cassie can’t solve with magic alone. Stars:

Season one of the TV series, “The Good Witch” will have 10 episodes and begin filming in Canada with a premiere planned for the first quarter of 2015.
In making the announcement, Michelle Vicary, Executive Vice President, HallmarkChannel and Hallmark Movie Channel said, “From the moment the first film in ‘The Good Witch’ series premiered, we knew audiences would fall in love with Catherine Bell and this character and want to see more of her. ‘The Good Witch’ franchise has consistently delivered top ratings with the airing of every film, and we expect the highly-anticipated TV series to deliver even more success."

The movies have followed Cassandra as she moved into Grey House in the small town of Middleton and found love, acceptance, family and friends. Chris Potter stars as Cassie's husband Jake.
