According to ABC News on Oct. 6, Halle Berry gave birth to a baby boy on Oct. 5 at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.
This is the second child for Berry, 47, but it is the first for her husband, French actor Olivier Martinez, 47.
Berry has a 5-year-old daughter, Nahla, from her previous relationship with model Gabriel Aubry. The two settled their custody battle over the child in 2012.
Berry and Martinez confirmed their engagement last March and recently got married in France's Burgundy region in July even though Berry, who had been married twice before, once vowed never to do it again.
The famous actresses broke the news in April that she was expecting.
Berry told CNN:
"This has been the biggest surprise of my life, to tell you the truth. Thought I was kind of past the point where this could be a reality for me. So it's been a big surprise and the most wonderful."
Martinez told "People" magazine in June that they were expecting a boy. He said, "My son will be an American. But I remain French."
