The Hall of Fame Games teams have been announced. It will be the Dallas Cowboys vs. Miami Dolphins. Both teams have direct ties with a 2013 inductee to the hall of fame, Bill Parcells. The game will take place on August 4th in Canton, Ohio.
Parcells was a coach for the Dallas Cowboys and also spent three years running Miami' football operations before leaving in 2010. Also among the inductees are former Cowboys guard Larry Allen, who spent 12 years with the team and helped them to the Super Bowl XXX title. Wide receiver Cris Carter has a slight tie to the Dolphins having played is final year of his creer there.
This will be a fifth preseason game for both teams. It may or may not be an advantage. It opens them up to more injuries but can also allow more time to analyze the talent they have. Both teams had rough yeras last year and will be relying on bringing in some new talent to bolster their roster.
