Following news Tuesday that Valve Corporation filed a trademark for Half-Life 3, another reference to the long awaited title was discovered when someone gained access to the developer's online bug tracking software and took screenshots.
Discovered by users at NeoGAF, the tracking software contains a reference to a "Half-Life 3" group as well as a "Half-Life 3 Core" group. The core group is the most interesting as it is new and seemingly confirms that the game is in active development.
Meanwhile, Left 4 Dead 3 groups were spotted as well which further confirmed the game's existence following the game's name and a Source Engine 2 reference being spotted on a monitor during a video tour of Valve's office.
As mentioned in the other article about Half-Life 3, Valve is gearing up in an attempt to be a major player in the gaming arena beyond just it Steam service. Having SteamOS be featured with releases from the developer's two biggest gaming franchises would be a huge boon toward that effort.
