Haley Reinhart has left Los Angeles and is returning to her roots. The Wheeling, Illinois, community is expected to be out in full force when the American Idol contestant arrives on Saturday for a hometown welcome. Haley is one of the three contestants from American Idol that made the finals for the singing competition show on Thursday night. As a reward, the contestants are sent packing and go home to see their friends and family for a day.
On Saturday Haley will be honored at the Wheeling Community campus. She will have an honor of May 14 to be ‘Haley Reinhart Day.” In a parade type setting prior, fans are encouraged to line up along the parade route with signs to share in the enthusiasm (click here for route PDF)
The American Idol contestant will also be performing live at Arlington Park. The concert is free; however a ticket is required for admission. The show is expected to start at 6:30 but gates open around noon.
The public is definitely encouraged to attend and don’t forget to bring the camera. Getting the chance to meet the underdog American Idol contestant could be a real possibility. The show wants the community to see who they are being represented by and the perfect photo opportunity with Haley Reinhart is realistic.
